Meet Paul

Warm enough to listen. Direct enough to help.

At Insight Therapy Services, LLC, Paul Runyan brings extensive experience as a licensed mental health counselor working with trauma, addiction, serious mental health concerns, marriage, and the particular pressures men face.

His style is calm, grounded, and practical. Sessions combine careful listening with researched assessments, useful assignments, and an individual treatment plan. The purpose is not to keep you talking in circles; it is to help you understand what is happening and build a path toward change.

Paul is a graduate of Butler University. He combines formal training with decades of practical experience helping clients make meaningful, sustainable change.

Paul is a husband, father, grandfather, practicing Christian, and lay minister. He and his wife, Melissa, also host marriage and family seminars.

Faith-integrated care

Clinical skill. Biblical foundation. Your choice.

For clients who want it, counseling can thoughtfully integrate evidence-based treatment with Scripture, prayer, personal responsibility, grace, forgiveness, and the Christian hope of restoration.

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”Psalm 147:3

Faith integration is available by request and is never forced.

Treatment approach

More than one tool in the toolbox.

People are not one-dimensional, and neither is effective treatment. Paul draws from established therapies to match the work to your goals, history, strengths, and readiness for change.

Common questions

A little clarity before you begin.

If your question is about exact insurance coverage or current appointment times, the booking platforms will have the most current information.

Who do you work with?

Paul works virtually with adults and older adults, as well as couples. His strongest areas include men’s issues, trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, anger, family conflict, grief, spirituality, and relationship concerns.

What is the first session like?

The first meeting is calm, practical, and collaborative. You will talk about what brought you in, what has and has not helped, and what you want to change. The goal is to leave with greater clarity and a workable next step—not a lecture or a pile of clinical jargon.

Do I have to be a Christian?

No. Paul works respectfully with clients from varied backgrounds. Christian counseling is available for clients who want faith integrated into treatment; it is not forced on those who do not.

Do you accept insurance?

Coverage depends on your location, plan, and the booking platform you use. Grow Therapy and SonderMind can show current insurance participation and estimated costs before you schedule.

Is therapy virtual?

Yes. Current profiles list virtual availability. Licensure, insurance eligibility, and appointment availability should be confirmed on the booking platform when scheduling.
